Key Responsibilities
- Lead the City’s annual budgeting process, financial planning, and ongoing monitoring of fiscal performance.
- Oversee TIF financing, tax activities, intergovernmental funding, and other municipal financing initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the Mayor, Finance Committee, and City leadership regarding the City’s fiscal health and long-term priorities.
- Lead and support the Finance Department while collaborating with Stoughton Utilities and other City departments on financial matters.
- Prepare and present financial information to elected officials and stakeholders, translating complex financial information into clear recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of government finance experience, preferably within a municipal, county, or state government environment.
- Strong experience with governmental budgeting, financial reporting, and municipal funding/financing activities.
