As an Accounting Specialist, you’ll support multiple business entities and gain hands-on exposure to a variety of accounting functions. Unlike many bookkeeping roles that focus on a narrow set of responsibilities, this Accounting Specialist position provides the opportunity to develop skills across cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist
- Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities as the Accounting Specialist
- Process cash receipts, journal entries, and support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as the Accounting Specialist
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing, payroll review, and workers’ compensation reporting as the Accounting Specialist
- Import and reconcile POS system data to ensure accurate financial reporting as the Accounting Specialist
- Support month-end close processes and participate in a structured training program that expands responsibilities over time as the Accounting Specialist
Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist
- 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or transactional accounting experience
- Experience with bank reconciliations, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or payroll
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records in a multi-entity environment
