ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is a successful, family-owned organization seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO and offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor looking to step into management. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise two team members
- Manage the general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and inventory accounting
- Prepare year-end schedules and support the external audit process
- Serve as a key partner to the CFO on accounting and financial matters
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Assist with hiring and developing accounting staff
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations
- Distribution or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Process improvement mindset with strong communication skills
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but not required
