About the Role

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to support day-to-day payroll operations, employee data management, reporting, and payroll-related inquiries. This position will serve as backup to the Payroll Specialist and assist with U.S., Canadian, and U.K. payroll processing.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities

  • Enter new hires, terminations, and employee changes into payroll, timekeeping, expense management, and other systems.

  • The Payroll Administrator will review timesheets and assist with identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies.

  • Support U.S., Canadian, and U.K. payroll processing and serve as backup to the Payroll Specialist.

  • Assist with benefit vendor file feeds and ensure accurate payroll deductions.

  • Process unemployment notices, tax withholding, child support orders, and other garnishments.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to Finance, Human Resources, and department leaders.

  • The Payroll Administrator will respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation while ensuring confidentiality of employee information.

  • The Payroll Administrator will support the corporate credit card program and assist with employee setup and issue resolution in Concur.

Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator Role

  • 1-3 years of payroll experience preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • General knowledge of multi-state payroll, employment regulations, and income tax laws.

  • ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and cross-functional teams.
