Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:
• Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs, product costing, and manufacturing variances.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and control processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for plant operations.
• Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights and cost improvement recommendations.
• Support audits, management reporting, and special projects.

Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting exposure.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
