Key Responsibilities for the CONTROLLER:
• Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and develop the accounting team while coordinating with external bookkeeping partners.
• Lead budget development, financial planning, and grant compliance activities.
• Direct payroll administration, benefits-related financial functions, and cash flow management.
• Serve as the lead for annual audits, government grant audits, and required tax filings.
• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems, controls, and financial reporting processes.
• Manage and develop the accounting team while coordinating with external bookkeeping partners.

Qualifications for the CONTROLLER:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices.
• Experience leading audits, compliance, and financial reporting functions
