A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Accounting Supervisor who enjoys leading accounting operations, supporting a team, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and month-end close activities.

The Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing daily accounting functions, managing inventory accounting processes, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will:

  • Oversee inventory accounting activities and ensure accurate inventory reporting
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Review and prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies as needed
  • Assist with inventory reporting, controls, and process improvements
  • Mentor and support accounting team members
  • Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy

Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Supervisor

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior supervisory or managerial accounting experience
  • Manufacturing accounting experience required
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting and reconciliation processes
  • Experience overseeing AP and AR functions
  • Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
