Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist
- Process accounts payable transactions and weekly payment runs, and maintain accurate financial records as the Accounting Specialist
- Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations as the Accounting Specialist
- Track, allocate, and reconcile expenses across grants, programs, and operating funds as the Accounting Specialist
- Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and inventory accounting activities as the Accounting Specialist
- Support process improvements and help strengthen accounting procedures and operational efficiencies as the Accounting Specialist
Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist
- 1+ year of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
- Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
