Staff Accountant
Salary: Up to $85,000
Location: Nottingham, MD

Our client is a well-known and growing organization who is seeking a motivated accounting professional who wants to expand their responsibilities, gain exposure to month-end close and financial reporting, and work alongside an exceptional Controller who is committed to mentoring and developing talent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience who is ready to build the skills needed to transition into a future Senior Accountant role.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and analytical review
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
- Reconcile and monitor daily cash activity
- Support cash flow analysis and reporting
- Prepare operational and financial reports for management
- Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Help improve accounting processes and identify efficiencies
- Work closely with operational teams to support business initiatives
- Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and other accounting projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close activities
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
- Desire to grow professionally and take on increasing responsibility
