Salary- $55,000–$65,000 plus bonus
Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:
The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting employees and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Process payroll for employees on a scheduled basis, including weekly, bi-weekly, and/or monthly payroll cycles
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and taxes
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and direct deposit details
- Review and verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions and provide timely support
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes
- Partner closely with HR and finance to ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations
- Process and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required payroll documentation
- Manage garnishments, deductions, benefit contributions, and other payroll adjustments
- Assist with payroll audits and reporting requirements
- Stay current on payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and compliance requirements
- Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms
