Staff Accountant Position Overview

This Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to take on a wide range of accounting responsibilities, gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle while continuing to grow with the organization.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Complete balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for audits
  • Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Partner with other departments to research and resolve accounting questions
  • Take on additional accounting responsibilities as the company grows

Staff Accountant Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 1+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and the month-end close process
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Salary: $65,000–$85,000
