The Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations for a manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient processes.
Responsibilities of Accounting Manager
- Prepare and review financial statements, including trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- The Accounting Manager will lead month-end, semi-annual, and year-end close.
- The Accounting Manager will manage tax activities and support audits.
- Strengthen internal controls and standardize/document accounting processes.
- Lead a team of 4–6 across AP, AR, Staff, and Senior Staff Accounting.
- Partner with site leadership to ensure consistent accounting practices across locations.
- Serve as a hands-on Accounting Manager focused on accuracy, process improvement, and accountability.
Requirements of Accounting Manager
- Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
- Well-rounded accounting background.
- Manufacturing accounting experience required.
- Multi-site experience required.
- Strong financial reporting, controls, audit, and close experience.
- Proven ability to build structure and documentation where processes are not yet standardized.
