Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
- Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities as the Staff Accountant
- Process cash receipts, journal entries, accounts payable transactions, and support accounts receivable functions as the Staff Accountant
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing for approximately 70–80 employees, including payroll review and workers’ compensation support as the Staff Accountant
- Import, verify, and reconcile POS system data to ensure accurate financial reporting as the Staff Accountant
- Support month-end close processes while progressing through a structured training program focused on expanding accounting responsibilities as the Staff Accountant
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or transactional accounting experience
- Experience with reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or cash management
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-entity accounting environment
