Employee Relations Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Coordinator to support employee engagement, retention, performance management, and workplace culture initiatives. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leadership, helping to foster a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with employment policies and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
Location: Greenwich, CT (fully in-office)
Compensation: $65-75K
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees by providing guidance, support, and assistance with workplace-related matters.
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs, including referral initiatives, professional development opportunities, and other employee-focused programs.
- Conduct new hire check-ins, stay interviews, exit interviews, and feedback sessions to support employee retention and engagement.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback and engagement data, identifying trends and recommending improvement strategies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of employee development, mentorship, and communication programs.
- Administer performance management processes, including onboarding evaluations, annual reviews, and performance improvement support.
- Partner with leadership to address employee relations issues and assist with disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel documentation, and HR-related reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments on workforce planning, payroll-related processes, budgeting support, and position management.
- Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, unemployment claims, and other HR projects as needed.
- Support HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on employee relations preferred.
- Experience utilizing HRIS platforms; familiarity with Paycom or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience within a nonprofit organization is a plus.
