Overview of the Assistant Controller:
- Supervise, coach, and support accounting staff to ensure high-quality performance.
- Manage daily accounting activities, month-end close processes, and financial reporting functions.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules.
- Oversee accounts payable activities and vendor relationship management.
- Support compliance efforts, internal controls, and financial governance initiatives.
- Provide analysis and reporting to support business decisions and operational objectives.
Preferred Qualifications of the Assistant Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Supervision or mentorship experience.
