Target Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000
Key Responsibilities for the Tax Accountant:
- Prepare and review tax returns for a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients.
- Serve as the primary contact for an established client base of approximately 300 accounts.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues while providing exceptional client service.
- Assist in the growth of the firm’s bookkeeping and outsourced accounting services.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and support overall client success.
Qualifications for the Tax Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; Associate degree candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- CPA preferred; EA designation required for non-CPA candidates as part of long-term development.
- 2-3+ years of public accounting tax preparation experience.
- Experience reviewing tax returns and working with multiple entity types, including partnerships and corporations.
