Financial Analyst (Cost & Pricing)

Salary: $55,000 – $75,000
About the Company
Our client is a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Financial Analyst to support a large-scale cost and pricing initiative. This role will partner closely with Accounting, Purchasing, Sales, and Quoting teams to review product profitability, validate costs, and support customer re-quoting efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Review customer parts and evaluate current pricing, costs, and profitability.
- Analyze quotes by comparing quoted costs, actual costs, and standard costs.
- Research and validate costs for raw materials, subcontracted services, and product components.
- Work with Purchasing to obtain updated vendor pricing.
- Review Bills of Material (BOMs), subassemblies, and manufacturing processes to understand total product costs.
- Calculate margins and profitability for products and customer accounts.
- Prepare updated pricing and re-quote documentation using established templates.
- Partner with Sales to ensure updated pricing is communicated to customers.
- Track completed reviews, findings, and project status using Excel and SharePoint.
- Collaborate with Cost Accounting, Quoting, Purchasing, and Sales throughout the analysis process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience in Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, Pricing Analysis, or Manufacturing Accounting.
- Understanding of product costing, BOMs, and manufacturing environments.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Ability to independently gather information and manage projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with Plex ERP.
- Experience with Paperless quoting software.
- SharePoint experience.
- Exposure to Claude AI or similar AI tools.
