Accounting Manager Summary
This leadership role oversees daily accounting operations while ensuring timely financial reporting, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement. The Accounting Manager will mentor staff, improve efficiencies, and serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Supervise Staff and Senior Accountants
- Review journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements
- Develop and maintain internal controls
- The Accounting Manager will Coordinate annual audits
- Ensure GAAP compliance
- Improve accounting workflows through automation
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Drive ERP optimization
Accounting Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous leadership experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- ERP implementation or optimization experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Accounting Manager Preferred Qualifications-Not required
- CPA
- Public accounting experience
- Multi-entity accounting
- Private Equity or high-growth environment
