ACCOUNTING MANAGER
$80,000 – $110,000+ (flexibility for the right candidate) plus quarterly bonus opportunity

Our client, a well-established, family-owned organization with more than a century of success, is seeking a Accounting Manager to join its growing accounting leadership team. Following significant expansion through recent acquisitions, this organization is continuing to invest in its finance department and is looking for a hands-on accounting professional who is ready to make an immediate impact.

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure the financial health of the organization. This role will manage a small accounting team, oversee the monthly close process, maintain strong internal controls, and deliver accurate financial reporting.
OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER ROLE:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls and financial processes.
- Manage inventory accounting, including physical inventory reconciliations and general ledger tie-outs.
- Perform and review floor plan reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Partner with executive leadership on financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER ROLE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
- 3+ years of accounting leadership or controller experience managing a small team.
- Experience within a dealership, distribution, manufacturing, or other inventory-intensive environment strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM), with the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM-Noon
