Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable activities
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage, mentor, and develop an 8-person accounting team
• Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Support audit preparation, tax compliance, and internal control initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements utilizing ERP systems and best practices
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Manage, mentor, and develop an 8-person accounting team
• Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Progressive accounting experience with prior supervisory or management responsibilities
• Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• Distribution or wholesale industry experience strongly preferred
• ERP system experience required; JD Edwards experience is a plus
