Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
- Design, build, and implement accounting workflows and process improvements
- Manage and develop a small accounting team, including Staff Accountant and AP specialist; review and assess output for compliance and accuracy
- Serve as primary liaison between HQ, international offices, and internal stakeholders, translating objectives and best practices globally
- Identify operational gaps, lead initiatives for process and system efficiencies, including leveraging AI/Microsoft Copilot
- Relieve senior finance leadership of day-to-day operations, enabling focus on audit and strategic budgeting
Must-Have Skills/Experience
- Progressive accounting experience ideally in small, high-growth nonprofit organizations (nonprofit accounting fundamentals mandatory)
- Hands-on managerial background with staff oversight and training; able to operate autonomously
- Sophisticated Excel skills (pivot tables, macros), Sage ERP proficiency a plus and demonstrated process buildout

Compensation
$80,000 to $110,000 USD
