Accounting Manager
A growing, privately held, family-owned organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and strengthen its finance and people operations. This newly created role will oversee core accounting functions while also supporting HR-related activities, partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership.
The Accounting Manager will supervise a small team and play a key role in enhancing financial processes, improving reporting visibility, and supporting the company’s continued growth. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure, working cross-functionally, and contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on women’s health.

Salary: Approximately $110,000 – $120,000 + profit sharing / retirement contributions
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger activities
- Manage the month-end close process, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
- Develop and track KPIs to support business performance and decision-making
- Partner with ownership and leadership on financial planning and strategy
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team (AP, AR, billing)
- Support payroll processing and assist with HR functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, and recruiting coordination
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisors
- Identify and implement process improvements and scalable systems
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within manufacturing
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, close)
- Exposure to HR-related responsibilities (payroll, benefits, employee relations) is a plus
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Experience working in a small or growing business environment strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
