White Marsh, MD | On-Site (5 Days/Week) | $75,000 – $95,000
Are you an accounting professional looking for the next step in your career? Our client, a growing and mission-driven organization in the education and nonprofit space, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team in White Marsh, MD.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of accounting experience who wants meaningful exposure to the full accounting cycle while working closely with an experienced Controller. The position reports directly to a Controller who has been with the organization for several years and is known for being a strong mentor and leader.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Support budgeting and financial reporting activities
- Help ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting requirements and internal controls
- Analyze financial data and assist with process improvements
- Partner with operational leaders across the organization
- Support audits and tax-related requests as needed
- Participate in special projects and help scale accounting processes as the organization continues to grow
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Approximately 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
- Exposure to nonprofit accounting highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and grow professionally
Compensation
- $75,000 – $95,000 base salary
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and alignment to preferred qualifications, including NetSuite and nonprofit accounting experience.
