Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Prepare and file Notices to Owner (NTOs), track lien waivers, and support compliance with Florida Construction Lien Law
- Process AIA billings, job cost reporting, and project-related accounting activities
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements, project accounts, and financial records
- Provide administrative support, including travel coordination, office supply management, and general accounting assistance
Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist
- 3+ years of construction accounting or construction bookkeeping experience
- Working knowledge of Florida Construction Lien Law, NTOs, AIA billings, and lien waivers
- Experience with Sage or similar accounting systems; strong Microsoft Excel skills required
