Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Prepare and file Notices to Owner (NTOs), track lien waivers, and support compliance with Florida Construction Lien Law
  • Process AIA billings, job cost reporting, and project-related accounting activities
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements, project accounts, and financial records
  • Provide administrative support, including travel coordination, office supply management, and general accounting assistance

Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist

  • 3+ years of construction accounting or construction bookkeeping experience
  • Working knowledge of Florida Construction Lien Law, NTOs, AIA billings, and lien waivers
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting systems; strong Microsoft Excel skills required
