Accounting Specialist Responsibilities
- The Accounting Specialist will process accounts payable invoices and assist with accounts receivable activities.
- Maintain accurate job cost records and support project accounting functions.
- Prepare account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
- The Accounting Specialist will review vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with subcontractor documentation, lien waivers, and compliance tracking.
- The Accounting Specialist will maintain organized financial records and provide administrative support to the accounting team.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and job costing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and construction accounting processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
