ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

West Mifflin, PA 15236 | $50,000–$55,000 | Full-Time | Hybrid after training

We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join an established organization with a collaborative accounting team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working across different areas of accounting.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expenses, ACH payments, checks, and wire transfers

  • Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and proper approvals

  • The Accounting Specialist will process employee expenses and maintain accurate documentation

  • The Accounting Specialist will manage company credit card transactions and reconcile activity

  • Perform account reconciliations and research and resolve discrepancies

  • Provide accounting support to branch locations and internal teams

  • Assist with reporting, documentation, and other general accounting responsibilities

  • The Accounting Specialist will support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN AN ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

  • Previous accounting experience, preferably with accounts payable and reconciliations

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience with VLOOKUPs and PivotTables is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and solve problems

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting between tasks throughout the day

  • Adaptable and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, internal-facing environment
