Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team while establishing clear performance expectations as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Oversee invoice processing, coding, approvals, payment execution, and vendor management activities as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Monitor workflow queues, payment cycles, aging reports, and exception processing to ensure timely and accurate operations as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Manage AP-related month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including accrued liabilities and reconciliations, as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Support internal and external audit requirements while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and internal controls as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Partner with Treasury to optimize payment timing, vendor relationships, and cash management objectives as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Establish and monitor KPIs, reporting metrics, and departmental performance measures as the Accounts Payable Manager
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvements, and system enhancements as the Accounts Payable Manager
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Manager
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable leadership or team management experience
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle Accounts Payable and procure-to-pay processes
- Experience supporting high-volume invoice processing and payment operations
- Experience with reconciliations, accrued liabilities, audits, and month-end close activities
- Strong understanding of AP controls, approval workflows, vendor management, and performance metrics
- Oracle Fusion and Medius experience highly preferred
