Key Responsibilities – Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, payment processing, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting financial documentation.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Support audits and provide necessary accounts payable documentation as requested.

Qualifications – Accounts Payable Specialist

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience required; hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-service mindset when interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work on-site full-time in Nashville, TN.
