Administrative Assistant

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000

Location: Great Falls, VA

Office Situation: 100% In-Office | Full-Time | Flexible Schedule Outside of Tax Season

Key Responsibilities

As the Administrative Assistant, you’ll serve as the hub of the office, helping keep client work moving efficiently from start to finish. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome clients and answer incoming phone calls
  • Coordinate tax workflow and track projects through completion
  • Prepare engagement letters and client correspondence
  • Release electronic tax returns using workflow software
  • Process invoices as returns are completed
  • Organize incoming and outgoing mail
  • Track client documents and workflow deadlines
  • Record payments and prepare occasional bank deposits
  • Provide administrative support to Partners and tax professionals
  • Occasionally visit the bank, post office, FedEx, or UPS as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in an office environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Comfortable learning new software systems
  • Friendly, professional, and dependable
  • Ability to work 100% in-office
  • Preferred:
    • Administrative experience within a CPA firm or public accounting environment
    • Experience with CCH products, QuickBooks & Adobe Acrobat
    • Professional services experience
