Assistant Property Controller
Location: North Lauderdale, FL
Salary Range:
- $90,000 – 100,000 (no managerial experience)
- $100,000 – 120,000 (managerial experience in accounting)

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller:
- Support full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for retail properties
- Analyze and interpret commercial leases, including input into accounting systems
- Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billing, and property-level financial accuracy
- Assist with monthly and annual close, budgeting, and forecasting
- Oversee tenant receivables, collections, and expense review/coding
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:
- 1+ years of commercial property accounting experience
- Experience with CAM reconciliations and lease structures such as NNN leases
- Proficiency in real estate accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or RealPage preferred)
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage detailed financial data
