Assistant Controller

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:

  • Oversee the month-end close process and ensure financial results are completed accurately and within established deadlines
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity planning, including preparation and maintenance of a rolling 13-week cash forecast
  • Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting account analyses
  • Provide leadership and oversight to accounting personnel, including accounts payable and general accounting team members
  • Support the preparation of accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting
  • Coordinate audit requirements and assist with year-end and other financial reporting activities
  • Oversee and support accounting activities related to consolidations, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and lease accounting
  • Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Partner with finance and executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Support acquisition integrations and other strategic accounting and finance initiatives as the organization continues to grow

Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong background in month-end close and financial reporting
  • Previous experience leading, managing, and developing accounting team members
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and cash management
  • Experience working in a growing, fast-paced, or evolving organization preferred

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 + discretionary bonus, depending on experience
