Key Responsibilities for the AVP of Accounting Operations:
• Oversee monthly close, reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy
• Lead audit coordination and manage external auditors and tax firm relationships
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements
• Manage cash activity, fixed assets, and general ledger integrity
• Oversee AP function and third-party accounting vendors
• Drive process improvements and implement BI reporting tools

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Insurance industry experience required
• Advanced Excel and strong systems aptitude
• Experience managing audits, filings, and third-party vendors
