Billing Specialist Responsibilities
- Manage the full AIA billing process, including applications for payment and progress billing
- The Billing Specialist will prepare and submit invoices in accordance with contract requirements
- Track project costs, change orders, and billing schedules
- Collaborate with project managers to gather billing information and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation for reporting and audits
- The Billing Specialist will monitor outstanding billings and assist with collections as needed
- The Billing Specialist will ensure billing compliance with customer contracts and company policies
Qualifications for Billing Specialist Role
- Previous construction billing experience, including AIA billing, required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with construction accounting software is a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
