Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper

• Process accounts payable transactions, reconcile weekly payments, and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
• Track and allocate expenses across grants and operating funds while supporting grant accounting activities
• Assist with audit preparation, financial reporting, and inventory accounting for the shop
• Identify and support opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications for the Bookkeeper

• 1+ year of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
• Experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
