Controller – Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance
  • Oversee annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations
  • Drive process improvements and enhance accounting systems, procedures, and reporting capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability and continuous improvement

Controller – Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership of close, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
  • Prior experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager role with direct leadership responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial statement preparation, and accounting best practices
  • AEC industry experience preferred; project-based or professional services experience highly valued
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and partner effectively with executive leadership
  • High-energy, proactive leader with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset
