Controller – Elkhart, Indiana
Salary Range: $120,000 – $135,000 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% On-Site
A growing and well-established manufacturing organization in the Elkhart area is seeking a Controller to lead and support the company’s accounting operations. This role will work closely with leadership and play a critical part in overseeing financial reporting, month-end close, and key accounting functions while supporting the organization during a period of rapid growth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, leadership within the accounting function, and the ability to navigate financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Perform financial statement analysis and provide insights on monthly performance.

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.

Support sales and use tax and property tax processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Reconcile key accounts and oversee the accuracy of financial records within the general ledger.

Produce and analyze weekly financial and inventory reporting, including scrap reporting and cycle count analysis.

Generate and summarize reports from the ERP system, exporting data into Excel for analysis and leadership reporting.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Several years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and data analysis functions.

Experience working in manufacturing or inventory-based environments preferred.

Ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights to leadership.
