Key Responsibilities for the Controller:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and maintain general ledger integrity
- Oversee cost accounting, job costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting
- Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including operational metrics and debt service coverage ratios
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and executive-level financial analysis
- Analyze costs, margins, profitability, and operational performance to support business decisions
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five accounting professionals
- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to improve business performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring an accounting team
- CPA or CMA designation is a plus but not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes and driving results
