Overview of the Controller role:
- Month-end closings, financial reporting, and coordinating of audits
- Assist with annual budget and forecasting processes
- Fixed Assets Maintenance
- Job Costing/Reporting
- Inventory Review
- Reporting Metrics
- Provide recommendations for improvements to efficiency and accuracy
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements
- Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Manufacturing experience is a MUST
- Expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, XLOOKUP’s
- Proficiency with a major ERP
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills
Salary: $125,000 – $160,000
