Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, WIP reporting, and project cost analysis while partnering with project managers on financial performance.
- Serve as a key leader in a company-wide ERP implementation and help drive process improvements across the accounting function.
- Act as the financial liaison between departments, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and the daily activities of the accounting team while driving operational efficiencies.
- Support executive leadership with strategic financial planning and business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred (Associate’s degree considered); CPA is a plus.
- Controller-level experience within the construction, mechanical contracting, or similar project-based industry required.
- Experience leading or participating in ERP/software implementations and organizational change management.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, WIP reporting, job costing, and project financial analysis.
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
