Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the finance controls function across all construction projects.
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, job costing, cash flow analysis, and profitability reporting.
    • Review project financial performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Lead monthly executive financial reporting, dashboards, KPI tracking, and portfolio reviews.
    • Partner with operations, project management, estimating, and accounting teams to improve project outcomes.
    • Manage WIP reporting, contract financials, change order analysis, billing oversight, and financial closeouts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of construction finance, project controls, or project accounting experience.
    • 5+ years of financial leadership experience within heavy civil, infrastructure, or utility construction.
    • Proven experience supporting large-scale projects ranging from $20M to $500M in value.
    • Strong expertise in forecasting, job costing, cash flow management, WIP reporting, and project profitability analysis.
    • Experience with municipal infrastructure, underground utilities, water/wastewater, or transportation projects preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with construction ERP/reporting systems such as Viewpoint, Spectrum, Procore, HeavyJob, or Power BI.
    • CPA, CMA, or CCIFP certification preferred.
