Our client, a well-established, third-generation family-owned organization, is seeking an experienced Controller to join its leadership team. This is a highly visible role within a growing $200M+ distribution company currently navigating an exciting post-merger transformation.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Controller will play a critical role in financial oversight, process integration, and strategic decision-making while helping shape the future of a thriving organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all GAAP accounting and financial reporting activities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review journal entries and maintain the integrity of financial statements
- Manage bank reporting requirements and loan covenant compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison with external CPA firms and auditors
- Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning initiatives
- Optimize treasury management and banking relationships
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
- Support business integration and financial harmonization efforts following recent organizational growth
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred
- Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Strong GAAP accounting knowledge
- Experience within distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or other high-volume transaction environments
- Background managing financial reporting, audits, treasury, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proven leadership experience overseeing accounting teams
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $135,000 – $150,000
