About the Controller role:
- established and growing specialized construction fabricator is enhancing its accounting team due to continuous growth.
- in this position you will oversee general ledger maintenance and reporting, financial statement preparation, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and union payroll for approximately 70 employees from a hands-on perspective, with the support of a small accounting staff to develop and manage.
- prepare sales and use tax returns, maintain insurance bonds and pay union dues
- Facilitate banking and vendor relationships and coordinate audits in cooperation with an external CPA firm

Qualifications of the Controller:
- undergraduate degree and 5+ years’ experience in the construction or contracting space
- experience processing union payroll
- proficiency with Excel and construction-related ERP systems
- tech savvy, with a hands-on perspective and an aptitude for creating workflow efficiencies
