Join a nonprofit in a newly created leadership role overseeing both Accounting and Billing. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance, you’ll have the opportunity to unify two critical functions, lead high-performing teams, and make a meaningful impact.

Director of Accounting & Billing Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Accounting and Billing departments through two Associate Directors
- Provide strategic oversight while remaining engaged in day-to-day operations
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, billing operations, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal funding requirements
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and organizational initiatives
- Support audits, cash management, and risk mitigation efforts
- Drive process improvements, ERP optimization, automation, and AI initiatives
- Foster a coaching-first culture focused on collaboration and employee development
Director of Accounting & Billing Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Passionate about people leadership and experience managing teams in a complex organization
- Strong accounting leadership experience with exposure to billing or revenue cycle operations
- Experience within a large nonprofit or similarly complex environment preferred
- ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- CPA and healthcare, Medicaid, or government-funded program experience are a plus
