Entry-Level Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist

Location: Bedford Hills, NY
Pay Rate: $50-55K
Hours: 8:30AM-5:00PM, M-F

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Entry-Level Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience and grow their career in a professional environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsible, analytical, and eager to learn. We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage priorities effectively, and contribute to a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions
• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• Apply and reconcile incoming payments
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections efforts
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Support month-end closing activities
• Assist with various accounting and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
