Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role supporting month‑end and quarter‑end close activities during a high‑impact period for the finance organization. This role is highly execution‑focused and best suited for a self‑sufficient finance professional who thrives in deadline‑driven environments and can operate with minimal supervision within a dynamic, evolving finance team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be relied upon for accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial judgment while supporting forecasting, variance analysis, and operational finance needs tied to manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Month-End and Quarter-End Close (Primary | Majority of Time)
    Own close-related activities with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, deadline management, and financial integrity. Support reporting deliverables with minimal oversight.

  • Monthly Forecasting & Variance Analysis (Primary)
    Prepare forecasts, analyze variances, and provide actionable financial insights to support operational and leadership decision-making.

  • Finance Reporting Support (Minor)
    Assist with recurring and ad hoc financial reporting, ensuring consistency and reliability of financial data.

  • Ad Hoc Operational Finance Support – Manufacturing Segment (Minor)
    Provide analytical and operational finance support tied to manufacturing activities as business needs arise.

Core Competencies & Skills

The ideal Senior Financial Analyst will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst (strong preference for candidates operating at a senior, hands-on level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and core financial modeling
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working under tight deadlines
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Boulder, CO
