Key Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant

  • Handle billing processes tied to city contracts, working directly from the general ledger
  • Manage data pulls from city system for monthly invoicing
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue tracking for nonprofit programs
  • Support audit preparation and documentation
  • Manipulate and analyze large financial datasets using advanced Excel skills

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in nonprofit finance with responsibility for city contract billing
  • Hands-on experience with major nonprofit or city contract systems such as PASSPort or HHS Accelerator
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, SUMIFS, large data sets)
  • Strong work ethic, motivation, and commitment to learning and team contribution

Compensation
$30.00-40.00 per hour commensurate with experience
