Travel: Occasional U.S. travel
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000

Overview

A multi‑state, family‑owned financial services organization is seeking a hands‑on HR Manager to lead day‑to‑day HR operations for a growing, geographically dispersed workforce. This role supports approximately 300 employees nationwide, with a high‑volume retail employee population.

Key Responsibilities for the HR Manager:

  • Ensure multi‑state HR compliance, with strong focus on California regulations
  • Update and maintain employee handbooks and state‑specific policies
  • Manage recruiting nationwide, including high‑turnover retail roles
  • Handle employee relations, terminations, and investigations
  • Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, 401(k), and open enrollment
  • Review payroll for accuracy and support HR operations
  • Partner with leadership while operating independently

Requirements for the HR Manager:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English – required
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a multi‑state environment
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws
  • Experience supporting high‑turnover or retail workforces
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable working 100% onsite

Additional Details

  • Travel: 1–2 trips per month initially; then quarterly
