Human Resources Manager
Location: North Haven, CT (Onsite)
Salary: $85,000-$110,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager

  • Oversee full-cycle HR operations including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and recordkeeping
  • Manage and process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain timekeeping systems and partner with managers to resolve discrepancies (PTO, missed punches, etc.)
  • Administer benefits including 401(k), medical, and open enrollment processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ACA, E-Verify, CT reporting, etc.)
  • Support safety initiatives including training, reporting, and maintaining OSHA-related documentation
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims and employee leave administration
  • Maintain employee files, I-9 documentation, and HRIS records
  • Coordinate with staffing agencies and assist with temporary workforce management
  • Prepare payroll reporting, audits, and general ledger support as needed

Preferred Qualifications of the Human Resources Manager

  • 2+ years of experience in HR and/or payroll functions
  • Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, labor laws, and benefits administration
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelors degree
  • SHRM Certified
