Lead Accountant
Salary: $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience (not specified — insert if available)

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Accountant:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and support monthly close activities
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to AR, AP, payroll, and other transactions
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation for account reconciliations
- Monitor daily cash activity, bank balances, and AP aging
- Assist with annual audits, funder reporting, and Form 1099 filing
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and Agency financial policies
Qualifications for the Lead Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2–7 years of accounting experience preferred; nonprofit experience highly desirable
- CPA or other relevant certification preferred
- Experience with general ledger systems (Sage preferred) and strong Excel proficiency
