Operations Manager

Location: Onsite – Columbus, Ohio
Salary: $130,000–$150,000

Overview:

An established construction‑industry organization is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee scheduling, resource allocation, equipment management, and overall operational efficiency across multiple active projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for labor and equipment.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust resources as priorities shift.
  • Oversee equipment fleet, tool inventory, mechanic shop operations, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain material inventory and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Track non‑project labor productivity and support yard organization and project prep.
  • Ensure accurate timecard completion and serve as the point of contact for related issues.
  • Conduct inventory counts, approve foreman expenses, and participate in employee evaluations.
  • Enforce company safety policies and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • 5+ years of construction or related industry experience required.
  • Proven experience scheduling labor and equipment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of construction operations.
  • Ability to work onsite and in varying environmental conditions.
